Lush Golden Wonder Review

Image

This is my 100th post so it had to be something really lovely and is there anything more lovely then a Lush Golden Wonder bath bomb (well for a lush addict like myself no there isn’t) and there’s the fact i wrote a review on Cecelia Ahern’s The Gift earlier on today so this is the perfect partner.

Golden Wonder is another big bath bomb although it is slightly smaller then the Secret Santa and is a beautiful mix of white and gold on the outside but has many hidden secret’s to it. For one thing it jingles when you shake it Oh My God (happy face haha) and as soon as you pop it into your bath it’s layer’s start to melt to reveal white’s blue’s green’s pink and of course gold which look’s absolutely amazing and it’s wonderful to just lay back and watch it unfold as it look’s like a mix between the ocean and a night’s sky. Magical is the only way to describe it.

And as for the scent it to is beautiful and really relaxing and share’s the same fragrence as there Snowshower’s Shower Jelly and has a slight hint of orange which is just perfect.

The only sad thing about this (apart from the fact that the jingle part melt’s before you have a chance to see what it is) is it’s Limited Edition so you have to get your’s while you can (stock up i would totally stock up)

Lush Golden Wonder Bath Bomb is available for £3.50 from your nearest Lush store or online at Lush.co.uk if you don’t have one close by and this will make the perfect Christmas Present.

Thank’s for reading.

Yankee Candle Sampler Black Coconut

Image

I have waited as long as i possibly can to write my review on this candle because it just looked so beautiful that i wanted to keep it forever (and i was worried because i really wanted too love this scent and you know when you really love something and then get disappointed when it’s not as good as you hoped) but i am really pleased to say that this one smell’s just as beautiful as you imagine it to (yay) and also it’s another candle from my earlier post Yankee Candle Haul.

But anyway on with the review. So you’ve heard me say in the past just how much i love the smell of coconut’s and this candle really doe’s (thankfully) and it really remind’s me of those coconut mushroom sweet’s that you used to get (can you still get them? i haven’t seen them in year’s) this is a beautifully soft fragrance that fills your home and quite frankly i want to buy about twenty jar’s of this right this second it’s that nice (actually maybe twenty five just to make sure i have enough haha)

And now with Yankee you know you get a lot of burning time and even with these sampler size’s i find i get around twelve or thirteen hour’s out of it.

These sampler candle’s make great stocking filler’s too or are just a fabulous way to try out some new scent’s

Barry M Red Lip Paint

Image

I have already written my review on the pink and orange version of the wonderful lip paint and today it’s the red’s turn.

I adore this shade and it is one of my all time favorites as it’s lovely and creamy but doesn’t smudge and last’s a long time which is exactly what you want from a lipstick and i love the fact that it’s a really bright red too as i hope you can see from the swatch below.

Image

I have tried a lot of red lipstick’s in the past in every price range and this has got to be one of the best so the fact that it’s such a bargain just make’s it even better and as i have said before the case’s on these look lovely and really quite expensive.

Barry M Lip Paint in shade 121 is available from your nearest Boot’s store or online from Boots.co.uk for the brilliant price of £4.49.

Thank’s for reading.

Cecelia Ahern The Gift Book Review

the gift 002

Okay so it’s time for a book review once again and i thought i would write one about a lovely story called The Gift by the wonderful Cecelia Ahern who is such an amazing author and has so many lovely book’s out but this one is set at Christmas and been as it’s just around the corner it’s perfect timing so i hope you like it.

Now on with the review.

In this lovely story we get to meet Lou Suffern a man who i’ll be honest you don’t exactly love at first as he isn’t the nicest person in the world he isn’t really there for his family at all but is like most people wishes he could be in two places at the same time.

But when he meet’s Gabe a homeless man that sit’s outside his work Lou’s life start’s to change in way’s he never imagined possible.

This is a really thought provoking story that will stay with you long after you’ve closed the book and whilst you start off not really liking Lou slowly as the book go’s on you start to see an entirely different side to him that’s not so bad after all.

The best way i can think to describe Cecelia’s writing is a fairy-tail for grown up’s in the way that there ever so slightly magical and enchanting and grab your heart as much as story’s used to when we where children and this novel especially it has so many twist’s and turn’s that you just don’t know what to expect in the end (which is nice when you think how many book’s are out there that you really know how it’s going to end from the first page).

And it’s one of those that you really want to get to the last page to find out what happen’s for Lou and his family but at the same time you don’t want that last page to Finnish and i have to say i did find myself in tear’s at certain point’s (if you’ve read this then you know what i mean i’m sure)

But i love the fact that it really make’s you think and appreciate what’s important in life (deep i know but it’s true trust me)

I adore this novel and would recommend it to everyone. it’s just one of those that you simply have to read and is perfect for this time of the year when you can snuggle up with a nice cup of coffee or whatever take’s your fancy.

The Gift by Cecelia Ahern is available at all good bookshops for £7.99 or you can download it onto your kindle for £3.99.

Have you read this or any of Cecelia Ahern’s other amazing book’s? let me know your thought’s on them as i love to hear from you.

Thank’s for reading.
